CLASS: Practice + Preparedness
CLASS is about building and holding space for each other - to check in on each other and attend to our deeply empathetic and resilient bodies so we can continue to practice and prepare.

A re-examination of the ways in which we engage with our communities and our artistic practice. Questioning what embodied practices look like in this time; taking stock of what is serving us, tending to what is needed in this moment, and tethering to what we can use in the future. How can it all be part of process and the processing?
Hollis Bartlett + Nattie Trogdon
Hollis and Nattie are makers, performers, teachers, and partners. Their collaborative practice stems from a fascination with the form and function of the body - researching both the anatomical and fantastical. Based in Brooklyn (currently quarantined in North Carolina), their work has been presented at venues across New York and New England. As educators they co-facilitate open classes and workshops throughout the city and at various universities. Hollis has danced with Doug Varone since 2011 and Nattie is a freelance artist having performed with too many wonderful artists to name here. They received their BFA’s in dance performance from NYU Tisch and SUNY Purchase respectively.
