A documentary dance film directed by Lara Friedman-Kats. This film captures hidden stories, emotions, and snapshots into a person’s life. It is a way for individuals to be seen and heard, telling their unseen stories. By only looking at the surface of the individual, we fail to acknowledge the depth and impact of another human being standing right before us. In hopes to listen, understand, and speaking about the uncomfortable, I hope to educate myself and audiences on various identities while creating an equal platform for all voices to be heard, not just seen.

Lara M. Friedman-Kats (she/her) is a proud BFA and K-12 Dance Education graduate of Towson University’s Dance Department and is currently earning her Master's in Dance at Montclair State University. Lara has performed with Dissonance Dance Theatre (DC), Deep Vision Dance Company (Baltimore), Deviated Theatre (DC), Mish-Mash Productions (NYC), Nikki Manx Dance Project (NJ), and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre/Sean McLeod Dance Experience (NYC), and most notably with Carolyn Dorfman Dance, a modern-contemporary dance company (NY/NJ) since 2015. My work seeks to evoke, inspire, reflect, and consider alternative perspectives.

Ann Robideaux (she/her) is a choreographer, dance film maker, presenter, curator and educator. She has presented original work throughout the U.S.A, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Recent commissions include the opera “Diary of the Plague Year”, "NYC Dances"screendance series, a site-specific dance for the "Cornell Lab of Ornithology, a “Rite of Spring” tribute for NPR, and screendance for Rave de Danza Mestizas (Argentina). As a co-artistic director of AnnAndAlexxMakeDances, she created site-specific work at the historic Frying Pan and Lilac Steamships on the Hudson River, the theater seats of Dance New Amsterdam, the ponds at Galapagos Artspace and the Eldridge Street Synogogue in NYC. Ann is currently the dance and theater coordinator at Princeton Day School and Associate Director of The Outlet Dance Project Festival at Grounds for Sculpture in NJ. Apart from her unique collaborations, Ann has choreographed numerous straight plays and musicals.
